One of the biggest struggles I have going through my transition is battling tangles on wash day. With the combination of my two textures combined with my hair length wash day is truly a major challenge. It is a whole day process for me. I have learned to have a lot of patience and allow myself plenty of time on my wash days. Sometimes that means not being able to wash my hair until a couple of weeks have passed because I was not able to find the time to set aside. And this is okay if it means I will finally have the time to care for my hair properly when wash day finally does come. One great thing is that I feel like I am in a place where I have found the right products to help make my wash day as easy as possible. Finding the right products are a huge step in a long term transitioner's journey. And what works for one person may not work for you. So keep that in mind when you choose your products. Long term transitioning is not easy but it can be done.
